Abstract

Barak karinding (bakkar) adalah sebuah komunitas yang melestarikan seni budaya Karinding. Keberadaan komunitas barak karinding ini berpengaruh terhadap tatanan sosial masyarakat, terutama dalam pelestarian kebudayaan berupa karinding khas Balaraja. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif yang merupakan jenis data kualitatif untuk mendeskripsikan, menganalisa, dan mengungkapkan peristiwa yang terjadi di lapangan. Data dihasilkan berdasarkan pengumpulan data primer dengan cara observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Selain itu dilengkapi juga dengan data sekunder berupa referensi dalam bentuk buku-buku yang relevan dengan tema penelitian untuk mendukung data-data di lapangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa, latar belakang terbentuknya Komunitas Bakkar (Barak Karinding) adalah atas dasar kepedulian terhadap seni budaya karinding khas Balaraja yang terletak di daerah kampung Jaha, kecamatan Balaraja. Perilaku sosial dalam melestarikan karinding khas Balaraja yang dikolaborasikan dengan sholawat ini ditunjukkan dengan cara komunitas barak karinding memainkan karinding di dalam acara-acara perayaan hari besar Islam. Perilaku sosial komunitas barak karinding dalam mengajak masyarakat agar melestarikan karinding khas Balaraja yang dikolaborasikan dengan sholawat, dilakukan dengan cara obrolan santai ketika sedang berkumpul dengan masyarakat kami selalu membahas tentang budaya yang dimiliki Kp. Jaha. Hasil yang dicapai oleh komunitas barak karinding adalah prestasi yang diraih dari hasil kerja keras komunitas barak karinding yaitu mendapat juara dua di dalam acara festival budaya.
