Abstract

ABSTRAK

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bagaimana Majalah Tempo edisi Nawadosa Jokowi membingkai isu dinasti politik dan oligarki dalam pemerintahan Presiden Joko Widodo. Tujuan penelitian mencakup: (1) menjelaskan struktur makro dalam pemberitaan; (2) mengkaji superstruktur; dan (3) menganalisis struktur mikro. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode analisis wacana model Teun A. Van Dijk. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara tematik, Tempo menyoroti konsolidasi kekuasaan Presiden Jokowi melalui penguatan dinasti politik dan kontrol terhadap institusi demokrasi. Dari sisi superstruktur, ditemukan variasi pola penulisan berita seperti pola penulisan kronologis, pola penulisan jam pasir, dan pola penulisan piramida terbalik. Secara mikro, ditemukan penggunaan diksi sarkastik, metafora, serta elemen retoris dan visual yang memperkuat kritik terhadap kekuasaan.

ABSTRACT

This study aims to analyze how Tempo Magazine's Nawadosa Jokowi edition frames the issues of political dynasties and oligarchy within President Joko Widodo’s administration. The objectives of this research include: (1) explaining the macrostructure of the news coverage; (2) examining the superstructure; and (3) analyzing the microstructure. This research employs a qualitative approach using Teun A. Van Dijk’s model of critical discourse analysis. The findings reveal that thematically, Tempo highlights President Jokowi’s consolidation of power through the strengthening of political dynasties and control over democratic institutions. In terms of superstructure, various news-writing patterns were identified, including chronological, hourglass, and inverted pyramid structures. At the microstructural level, the use of sarcastic diction, metaphors, as well as rhetorical and vi sual elements was found to reinforce criticism toward political power.
